Social Media: Instagram is On the Rise

Communications Problem? We can help

eMarketer: The Social Series: Who’s Using Instagram?

This study reveals that in 2018 a whopping 104.7 million people, or 31 percent of the population, will use Instagram. Since the introduction of Instagram Stories in 2017, the platform has seen continued growth as the feature attracts new users.

Millennials make up nearly half of Instagram users, making the platform a key social media channel for brands trying to reach the nation’s largest demographic. Instagram also skews female with 56 percent of female social media users accessing Instagram in 2018.

Crisis Communications: CEOs Are Underprepared to Handle Risk

Agility PR: Are CEOs missing the mark on risk readiness? Here are the top threats.

Did you know that 96 percent of CEOs expect their organizations will face serious threats or disruptions to their growth prospects in the next two to three years? While the majority of CEOs may be aware of the potential for risk, many are not prepared with proactive measures to address these risks, should they arise. Only 42 percent of CEOs have discussed risks to the organization’s reputation in the past year, leaving room for growth.

These troubling statistics reinforce our belief that it is essential for organizations of all sizes to regularly identify potential risks and develop communications plans and systems to manage them. Since crisis situations move quickly, it is vital to have messaging prepared ahead of time to address the situation and minimize fallout.
